Presentación: La influencia cognitiva, cultural y educativa de las representaciones externas

Iniciamos esta Presentación examinando el concepto de representaciones externas como un dominio de conocimiento propio y diferenciado, por un lado, de las representaciones internas o mentales y, por otro, del lenguaje oral. Luego analizamos las principales características de las representaciones externas destacando su importancia cognitiva, cultural y educativa. Por último, pasamos a presentar los artículos reunidos en el Monográfico, los cuales abordan específicamente la comprensión, el uso y/o la producción de representaciones externas como instrumentos de la cognición y como herramientas del aprendizaje.
