Abstract

This essay offers a succinct reconstruction of a panoramic image on two edges of the current Argentine economic historiography: its intrinsic interdisciplinary constitution and its positioning in relation to other economic historiographies. For this purpose, the main thematic lines visible in its current production are briefly recovered, as reflected in the Conference organized by the Economic History Civil Association of Argentina (AAHE), and its relationship with other congresses and academic meetings of international scope. This primary approach to those two edges allows us to calibrate the way in which History and Economics relate to each other in the Argentine discipline, as well as the position and relationship that the field of economic history holds with the other great areas of the discipline: social history, political history and cultural history.
