The article analyzes and discusses the book by Beatriz Bragoni, José Miguel Carrera, un revolucionario chileno en el Río de la Plata (Buenos Aires, Edhasa, 2012). It focuses on the contributions of the study to Chile’s and Rio de la Plata’s political history during the 1810s. It delves also into methodological issues related to the biographical genre.
