Abstract

This article explores the issue of a cultural history of the juridical from a historiographical point of view. It follows the trail of the different ways of making the history of law emphasizing some of the recent works on the Ancient Regime, to show how the cultural perspective of the law has produced new approaches and ideas. Maybe, the production about the administration of justice in the Indias is the best evidence of the new conceptions about regulations and institutions in their juridical, cultural, political, and social dimensions.
