Abstract

This work analyzes the appropriation of scientific
knowledge by society. It takes as its axis of analysis the academic
activity carried out by the author of the work, and examines how
it was partially used or reused. The first case is located in the town
of Humahuaca, Jujuy, Argentina and the second is related to the
emergence of the Chichas Nation, which had as its epicenter the
city of Tupiza, in the Plurinational State of Bolivia. Temporarily,
our analysis is located between the beginning of the nineties of
the last century, and today. The work explores why and in what
context a certain academic knowledge is appropriate, what social
agents make it possible, for what purposes, and finally, how this
academic knowledge dialogues with others that already circulated
in society.
