Abstract

The text introduces the works that make up the dossier on the situation of Argentine historiography, which were prepared from the presentations made in April and May 2021 at the Conference that commemorated the tenth anniversary of the Argentine Association of Researchers in History (AsAIH). To this end, it outlines a brief panorama of Argentine historiography since the recovery of democracy in 1983, taking into account the academic and institutional context as well as the political, social and economic context; it reviews the main milestones in the trajectory of the AsAIH; it highlights some historiographical innovations produced in recent decades; and finally it presents a brief summary of the texts that are part of the dossier.
