Abstract

This article attempts to provide knowledge from an anthropological approach, with a gender perspective on the problems of urban poverty. Its starting point dates from fieldwork conducted by the author with a group of women who live and / or work in two districts northwest of the city of Rosario. Hold the main objective of this work to rescue the meanings and conceptions of poverty from a gender perspective, emphasizing the interpretations that build women on different social relations living, both within their families and in the community. To do this, I went diving in the commonness of these women, their lifestyles, their wishes and initiatives.
