Abstract

Traditionally, the Stock Market and Grain Arbitration Chambers were spaces in which the interests of grain businessmen were represented. However, owing to the application of interventionist policies aimed at regulating grain marketing and counteracting the action of businessmen in grain marketing, businessmen felt the need to create their owns spaces of representation. This led to the implementation of several measures to face the advance of the state, partnerships being one of the main alternatives. Therefore, it seems important to analyze what factors made a considerable number of stockpiling companies headquartered in the south of Santa Fe organize a new stockpiling center in Venado Tuerto.
