Abstract

This article will analyze the forms that female participation assumed in Peronism in the province of Buenos Aires in the period that began with the military coup of 1955 and culminated with the return of Perón in 1973. The intervention that women had will be studied in the experiences of party reorganization and in the integration of the political personnel that Peronism formed to participate in successive elections. The hypothesis that orders this work recognizes that in the considered period a progressive increase of this participation is observed. A trend that, although it responds to constitutive aspects of the Peronist political culture, must also be analyzed in light of the centrality that female militancy assumed in times of resistance and the scenario of change that the 1960s presented in terms of rights for women.
