Abstract

Various agents from the social space stage demonstrations that become massive, where the claims and celebrations of various organized social sectors dispute the public agenda, and the possibility of constructing meaning through their messages.

The intention in our work is to explore the analysis of the performatic structure in two marches in particular, and to understand the dynamics of the festive in relation to the state.

The gaze in this text is located in Santiago del Estero (Argentina province) in 2003, concentrating the analysis on two performances that, we consider, condense the social context and help us to think about the situation: The Marchas del Silencio and the first edition of the Marcha de los Bombos. The methodological approach is qualitative and relational. We search in hegemonic repertories and extensive interviews.

We wonder, what is at stake in these two performances, as well as what agents and resources are mobilized for the construction and experience of identitary senses.
