Abstract

The seven works put together in this dossier are part of a series of problematizations around the productions and cultural expressions of the Argentine provinces and regions that have been taking place since 2014 in the space of the meetings that originated REICRE (Network of Interdisciplinary Studies in Cultures and Regions), created in 219. In these papers, processes related to the provinces of Salta, Tucumán, La Pampa and Santiago del Estero and the construction of the NOA as a region are investigated. In these, multiple methodological operations turn productions and cultural expressions, intellectual works, events, political projects, cultural policies or state devices into privileged empirical references. Culture conceived as a space of conflict and a field of dialogue, unthinkable without taking into account power relations; as well as the critical gaze that the region assumes and collective identities -regional, provincial, such as salteñidad, santiagueñidad, or pampeanidad- as an arena of construction and dispute, frame the common thread of these articles.
