Abstract

This dossier brings together a series of articles that address the situation of women and work, based on studies located in times, spaces and in relation to specific groups. In this sense, the various contributions include a look at women’s work, both in wage and non-wage situations, problematizing the interfaces between productive and reproductive dimensions. At the same time, the situationality linked to the set of inequalities that are intertwined to define the situation of populations specifically affected by the combination of gender and class with other axes of ordering, such as ethnicity or rurality, is addressed. There is an interest to recover the situation of women in their role as double-time workers, in the extradomestic and domestic spheres, considering diverse territorial realities and the different impacts that this situation has not only in the material aspect but also in the psychological and subjective ones.
