Abstract

In this interview, the historian Javier Trímboli narrates his first approaches to history and his impressions about the cultural, political and university world of the late 80s and early 90s. He reviews the problematic and stainless relationship between history and politics and the inexhaustible question about the role of intellectuals -of such value in current times- characterized by hyper-specialization. In the conversation he recalls key figures within his itinerary and also from the university and cultural world of Argentina such as Oscar Terán, Horacio González or Ignacio Lewkowicz. He recounts the beginnings of his labour insertion, his options within academic life, the impact of Kirchnerism on his political and historical imagination as well as his participation in the Television Channel Encuentro and his role in the organization of the Historical Archive of Radio and Television Argentina.
